Professional Lake Ray Roberts Fishing Guide: Jim Walling 2018-03-08T04:39:11+00:00

JIM WALLING, Professional Lake Ray Roberts Fishing Guide

At the age of five, Jim couldn’t know he would grow up to be a professional Lake Ray Roberts Fishing Guide; but he sure knew he was hooked on fishing! His Grandparents introduced him to fishing with a cane pole on a creek in Justin, Texas. After catching 23 perch that day, it has led him to a life of fishing and helping others get hooked on the sport as well!

Jim spent 13 years in Denver where he became an avid fly fisherman and learned the art of fly tying. When he heard that Ray Roberts was finally going to be built, he made the decision to move back home and become a full time Lake Ray Roberts Fishing Guide when the lake opened to boats in 1990.

Today Jim lives in Pilot Point, Texas and after 26 years and thousands of Guided Trips, he knows every inch of the Lake. If there’s anything he enjoys more that fishing now, it’s achieving his goal to make your fishing trip a success. Whether it sets your on a lifetime of fishing fun, or just just provides a great outdoors experience for you, your family or company, meeting this goal is his and his guide team’s mission.

Want to share your love of fishing with your kids? Jim loves taking families fishing and introducing kids to the sport. This family was ready for a fish fry with a cooler full of White Bass!

By the way, one child aged 16 or under fishes FREE with a paying adult!

Great Half Day. . .Great Half Day. . .

My 14 yo son and I recently enjoyed a half day trip with Jim. He certainly put us in the right position to catch fish and taught us quite a bit along the way. Highly recommend him if you are looking for a great guide for Lake Ray Roberts.
